What is Ash Wednesday? Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a 40-day penitential season of prayer, repentance, and fasting as we acknowledge that we need God's grace and look toward the celebration of Resurrection Sunday. Our Ash Wednesday family service will include worship, teaching and the distribution of ashes as we are reminded that from dust we came and to dust we will return.
